Peripheral Neuropathy & Small Fiber Neuropathy Treatment in Greenville, SC
Did you know?
Here at Cloud 9 Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine of Greenville, SC, we consider ourselves experts at treating neuropathy.
There are several major types of Neuropathy, including:
-Peripheral Neuropathy
-Small Fiber Neuropathy
Out of those types of neuropathy, there are several types of neuropathy defined by their cause:
-Diabetic Neuropathy
-Chemotherapy Induced Peripheral Neuropathy (CIPN) – can also be caused by Radiation.
-Idiopathic Neuropathy
-Structurally Caused Neuropathy (from a pinched nerve creating loss of circulation, for example)
Many folks don’t even realize their symptoms are the classic symptoms of neuropathy, such as:
numbness, burning, tingling, lack of sensation or “dead limb” type of feeling, feeling as though you are walking on marbles or thumbtacks, or feeling as though your foot, leg, hand or arm are “wrapped in saran wrap.”
Here at Cloud 9 Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine, we specialize in treating most types of neuropathy, with a special treatment protocol to reverse the nerve damage typically seen in neuropathy and regenerate the nerves, reversing the negative symptoms with it.
Unfortunately, Western Medicine (or Mainstream Medicine) truly does not have many viable options to manage the painful symptoms of neuropathy. Currently, the standard treatment of neuropathy is to prescribe Gabapentin, a nerve pain medication. Patients usually report this medication is not very effective and they usually still have a lot of pain and discomfort whether they take the medication or not. The medication is only a band-aid and does nothing to stop the progression of the disease of neuropathy, which can typically start in the patient’s hands or feet and gradually it will often creep up the legs or arms until reaching the torso.
About 1/3 of our clinic is comprised of neuropathy cases, and Dr. Laura Parks, our acupuncturist has been specializing in treating neuropathy for over 8 years with over a 85% success rate in resolving the uncomfortable symptoms of neuropathy such as the aforementioned: numbness, burning, tingling, lack of sensation or “dead limb” type of feeling, feeling as though you are walking on marbles or thumbtacks, or feeling as though your foot, leg, hand or arm are “wrapped in saran wrap.”
Now there is Hope.
To begin, call the clinic and schedule a Consultation with Dr. Laura Parks, which will include a Toronto Neuropathy Exam that measures sensory loss and determines how severe your specific neuropathy presentation is, and what our best recommendation for treatment will be in order to resolve your neuropathy.
Don’t wait another day, call to schedule. We are a smaller clinic and will only be accepting the first 10 new patients this month that call to schedule first.

Breathe Easy: Natural Solutions for Greenville’s 2026 Allergy Surge
Greenville is once again facing a record-breaking pollen season. With tree pollen—especially from Cedar, Elm, and Pine—blanketing our Upstate cars and outdoor furniture in yellow, many residents are already struggling with sneezing, sinus pressure, and fatigue.
At Cloud 9 Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine, we specialize in helping patients find long-term relief from these seasonal triggers without the drowsiness of over-the-counter medications. Led by Dr. Laura Parks, a board-certified expert with over 15 years of experience, our clinic is a “last resort with the best hope” for those dealing with chronic and complex cases.
Why Acupuncture for Seasonal Allergies?
Acupuncture doesn’t just mask your symptoms; it treats the root cause by regulating the body’s overactive immune response to harmless allergens.
- Reduces Inflammation: Stimulating specific points can lower inflammatory markers, easing swelling in the nasal passages and airways.
- Balances the Immune System: Regular treatments help your body become less reactive to pollen and dander over time.
- Improves Sinus Health: By enhancing circulation, acupuncture helps clear blockages and alleviate that heavy facial pressure.
- Boosts Energy: Combat the “allergy fog” and fatigue that often accompany high-pollen days.
Our Integrative Approach
We combine traditional acupuncture with cutting-edge therapies to accelerate your healing:
- O3 Regenerative Therapy™: An innovative ozone therapy to support the immune system.
- ATP Resonance BioTherapy™: Utilizing specific frequencies to help reset cellular dysfunction and manage pain.
- Direct Vitamin Injection Therapy™: Providing essential nutrients directly to your system for a rapid health boost.
Proactive Wellness Tips
To get the most out of your treatments, we recommend these simple lifestyle adjustments:
- Acupressure at Home: Gently massage the LI-20 point (beside your nostrils) to help open nasal passages between sessions.
- Local Honey: Consuming honey from the Upstate can help desensitize your body to local pollen.
- Timing is Key: For the best results, we recommend starting treatments two weeks before the peak of allergy season, and continue at least weekly throughout your symptomatic season.

Fast, Natural Relief for IBS and IBS-D in Greenville, SC at Cloud 9 Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine
Are you tired of living with the daily discomfort of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) or IBS-D (diarrhea-predominant IBS)? At Cloud 9 Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine in Greenville, SC, we help patients heal their gut and regain control of their life using a proven combination of Acupuncture, Medical Ozone Therapy, ATP Resonance BioTherapy™, and Direct Vitamin Injection Therapy.
Our holistic approach is designed to address the root causes of IBS—not just manage the symptoms—so you can feel better, faster.
What Is IBS—and Why Is It So Hard to Treat?
IBS affects over 35 million Americans and is characterized by symptoms like:
- Bloating and gas
- Abdominal pain or cramping
- Diarrhea (IBS-D), constipation (IBS-C), or both
- Urgent bowel movements
- Brain fog, fatigue, and mood changes
Many people with IBS are prescribed medications that only offer temporary relief—and often come with side effects. That’s why more and more patients are turning to natural, integrative options that treat the gut-brain connection and restore balance from the inside out.
How Cloud 9’s Integrative IBS Program Works
At Cloud 9, we take a multi-therapy approach that treats both the digestive and nervous systems to reset gut function and reduce inflammation. Our patients often report significant improvements within 2–4 weeks of starting care.
🌀 Acupuncture for IBS Relief
Acupuncture is one of the most effective natural therapies for IBS. It works by:
- Regulating the autonomic nervous system (gut-brain axis)
- Reducing intestinal inflammation and spasms
- Balancing motility for IBS-D or IBS-C
- Calming anxiety and stress, which often worsen symptoms
Our Greenville-based acupuncture clinic uses specialized protocols to target the digestive system and provide rapid relief.
🌿 Medical Ozone Therapy for Gut Inflammation & Microbiome Balance
Medical Ozone Therapy is a powerful anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial therapy. For IBS and leaky gut, it helps:
- Kill off harmful gut bacteria or pathogens
- Boost oxygenation and cellular repair of the intestinal lining
- Reduce chronic inflammation in the digestive tract
- Improve microbiome balance naturally
This therapy is especially helpful for patients with chronic IBS-D, SIBO, or post-infectious IBS.
⚡ ATP Resonance BioTherapy™ for Nervous System Reset
IBS is often rooted in nerve signaling dysfunction along the vagus nerve and digestive tract. ATP Resonance BioTherapy™:
- Helps regulate gut-brain communication
- Reduces hypersensitivity and intestinal spasms
- Supports healing at the cellular and neurological level
- Is painless, needle-free, and extremely effective
This treatment helps your nervous system “relearn” how to digest and eliminate properly.
💉 Direct Vitamin Injection Therapy for Nutrient Absorption
Many IBS patients suffer from malabsorption, meaning they don’t fully absorb nutrients from food or supplements. We offer:
- Vitamin B12 and B-complex for nervous system and gut lining repair
- Vitamin D to reduce intestinal inflammation
- Magnesium and other key nutrients to promote regularity and calm intestinal spasms
Delivered via injection, these nutrients bypass the digestive system and go straight to work.
Real Results—Naturally and Fast
Most patients begin to feel relief within a few weeks of starting treatment. Some even notice reduced urgency, bloating, and pain within the first 3–5 visits. Because our therapies address the root cause—not just the symptoms—results are often long-lasting.

Finding Relief: Explore Acupuncture for Migraines in Baltimore County
Migraines can be debilitating, stealing your focus and energy. If you live in Baltimore County and suffer from frequent migraines, you might be considering alternative treatment options. Acupuncture has emerged as a promising approach for managing migraines, and this blog will explore its potential benefits and where to find qualified acupuncturists in Baltimore County.
Acupuncture: A Natural Approach to Migraine Relief
Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine practice that involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) theory, migraines arise from imbalances in the body’s energy flow (qi). Acupuncture aims to restore balance and alleviate pain by stimulating these points.
While the exact mechanisms remain under investigation, research suggests acupuncture can be effective in reducing migraine frequency and intensity. Studies have shown it may:
- Trigger the release of endorphins, the body’s natural pain relievers.
- Modulate the nervous system’s response to pain signals.
- Improve blood circulation.
Benefits of Acupuncture for Migraines
Compared to traditional medications, acupuncture offers several potential advantages:
- Highly Effective: Acupuncture outperforms medication, with over a 95% success rate in not just eliminating the acute stage of a headache or migraine, but also significantly reducing the number of future episodes of headaches and migraines.
- No Side Effects: Acupuncture is generally considered relaxing and many patients fall asleep during treatment and take a brief nap.
- Preventative Care: Acupuncture can be used not only for treating acute migraines but also for preventing future attacks.
- Holistic Approach: Acupuncture addresses the underlying imbalances that contribute to migraines, aiming for long-term relief.
Embrace Wellness with Acupuncture
